Week 5 Essay
Critically Analyze Peer-Reviewed Research
Some of the building block skills that are needed before writing a comprehensive review, or even an annotated bibliography, are being able to efficiently and effectively summarize the literature you find (including being able to compare and contrast the multitude of sources) and being able to provide a critique of the research articles you are including in your review. The ability to provide an evaluative critique of another scholar’s work is an essential skill on the road to becoming an independent scholar. For any literature review, you are expected to synthesize and critically analyze the literature you are reviewing so that it is clear that your study is the next logical step in the line of research. This is an opportunity to practice those skills.
