Argumentative Essay: Does Monstrosity Exist?

In many occasions we come across different things that appear to deviate from the normal. This creates the question as to whether these things really exist. In my point of view, monstrosity refers to things that are either frightening or disgusting. Such kinds of things are those that deviate from the normal. In other words, these are things that we are not used to seeing. This is why they end up scaring us. One way of ascertaining that there is monstrosity is by determining whether this idea emanates in nature as well. (Gideon et al., 40).

The first reason as to why Monstrosity exists is that there are natural events that appear to be deviating from the normal. This illustrates the reason that true existence should not be limited to human activates. Additionally, existence in nature would mean that human beings have no control over monstrosity. An extraordinarily large fish for instance, is enough evidence that monstrosity exist in nature. In his 2016 published article, author Gideon explains that nature exhibit monstrosity. The importance of this resource in my opinion is that it helps prove my use of nature to justify the existence of monstrosity (Jackson et al., 190).

Second experience of Monstrosity is through various human activities that proves its existence. This is because human beings appear to copy some ideas from nature. Also, human beings tend to use extra ordinary things to attract attention. Building the tallest building in the world for example, is meant to attract tourists, attention globally. According to a 2015 published article, human beings are attention seekers. The significance of this resource in my opinion is that it helps justify the fact that monstrosity ideas can be expressed through human activities (Gideon et al., 28).

In conclusion, although there are several ideas that try to dwell on the existence of monstrosity, an ideal way is through the determination whether it exists in nature. As already seen, Monstrosity exists for the reason that there are natural events that appear to be deviating from the normal. The other evidence for existence is human activities that are designed to attract attention. Monstrosity existence in nature is in contrast with that is showed in various activities. The difference is that there is no motive behind monstrosity occurrence in nature while the occurrence through human activities has a motive behind it.
