Dear Mr. Stricklin,

I would like the opportunity to apply for your Assistant Athletic Director position. After reviewing your post online, I could not help but notice the strong similarities between the qualifications and my background. As my resume will attest, I have the skills and education that your organization is looking for in every way.

I am comfortable with training and strategizing as an administrative with my day-to-day task. I have a B.A. in general studies and minor in sports management. The last 15 years of my life has been planning, organizing scheduling, and executing sporting activities of all types in a variety of venues. My experience in athletics has given me a great background in techniques for team building encouraging cooperation in accomplishing goals and overcoming obstacles. I have traveled to other institution to accommodate some knowledge and insight on the duties and role of an athletic director. I understand the focus must be on the accomplishments of the student athletes and the structure of the athletic program. Training and networking will benefit the organization and making a significant contribution.
