BACKGROUND OF BAY CLINIC

Founded in 1983 as the Hilo Bay Clinic

Registered as a non-profit facility in 1986

The Clinic has developed to add more specialized community centres across Hawaii.

The Clinic operates the only 340B Pharmacy in Hawaii that supports federal discount program since 2015.

The Clinic also introduced a roaming Health Unit that incorporates dental care and medical care services launched in 2016.

TARGET POPULATION

This is the biggest community health center in Hawaii island

Targets 1,392,400 Hawaii Residents

Employs approximately 150 medical professionals and support staff

Serves a population of 22096 residents in East Hawaii

This accounts to 80,000 visits in year.

Alternative medicine onto the contrary refers to the use of supplement medical procedure or drug to meet the same desired results.

Mental Health (SLP)

This refers to a set of activities aimed at diagnosing, assessing and treating cognitive disorders or diseases.
