In the readings, you had the opportunity to examine and evaluate national issues related to the establishment of the context of assessment in higher education and accountability. Reflect on the author’s thoughts regarding these contextual issues and how they affect higher education. In reflecting on this learning, think about your own observations in this space. As you discuss this issue, reflect specifically on some of your own experiences with universities in this space.

Clearly, we are living in an era where assessment is essential, and we are consistently pursuing better assessment approaches and appropriate contexts. The readings this week speak to that issue. Articulate in this discussion question what the author recommended and specifically the steps that can be taken to make the necessary progress to be truly effective.
