Accessing Career Inventories

As part of your learning experience, you will be required to complete career inventories on yourself. These materials will not be mailed to you. You will register online and access the inventories. The following information will guide you through the process.

1. Go to http://www.vocopher.com/register.cfm.

2. Under code, enter sw34

a. NOTE*** this code will register you under my account since I am the licensed professional and professor. You will only be able to access the materials as part of this class. I will be able to see what tests you have completed, the scoring, etc. Once this class is over, you should no longer access this account. If I see you accessing it after the course has ended, I will have you removed since you are not a licensed professional authorized to use these materials at this point. Once you become licensed, you can register on your own to if you would like to use the materials.

3. You will then provide your demographic information to register.

4. You will receive an email confirming your registration.

5. After you have registered and been granted permission to access the site, go to http://www.vocopher.com/.

6. You will enter your user name and password that you selected when you initially registered.

7. You will then be directed to the welcome screen and a list of career inventories will be on your left.

8. To access any of the inventories, click on “Career Tests”.

9. You will then click on any test you want to take. I strongly recommend you do not click on them until you are ready to take them. They can be lengthy.

10. At any point, you can access the results of tests you have taken. On the welcome page, you will see that there is a button on the top of the screen that says “Test Results”. This will take you to completed materials.

11. You will need some type of chart to know if the numbers you receive are “high” “low” “average” etc. I will be posting this for you as the course progresses.
