Design and Technology are a juxtaposition of terms and yet all the technology education courses

use both to achieve course outcomes. Evaluate the study material and professional readings for

the course in order to answer all parts of the following questions.

This essay has two parts. Complete both sections.

PART A (1000 words)

Essay Question

Problem based learning is at the heart of all Technology Education courses, replacing project-

based learning. Differentiate between project-based learning and problem-based learning,

evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of both. State and justify which you believe, PBL-

project based or problem-based, has the greatest opportunity to inspire, educate and engage

your Technology Mandatory students.

When you have written Part A of the essay, place it into Turnitin.

PART B (500 Words)

Place the essay that you have written into “CHAT GPT “ or another AI program and request the

AI program to improve it.

Evaluate the two essays, critically analysing the suggested improvements.

When writing the essay, consider your literacy expectations and demands including essay style, layout, use of grammar, referencing and interpreting data to make informed decisions and justifications of your stance. Essay responses should reflect developing understanding of: pedagogical approaches, concepts,

and content including: design, skills, relevant curriculum documents and resources available for

teaching Technology (Mandatory), strategies in implementing the NESA syllabus and associated

curriculum documents including outcomes and content and additional literacy and numeracy

support.
