Research one article on the advantages and disadvantages of choosing between a traditional RDB and a NoSQL Database.

Need total of 4

· The entries should be from the class readings of each week. Don’t try and do the textbook.

· Use a paragraph for each section below. Double spaced, alphabetical by first author last name.

Each annotated bibliography entry should contain the following elements:

1. A bibliographic citation in APA format. This is the same thing you create for the references section of your papers.

2. A summary of the main points and the author's thesis of appropriate length for the book or article. An article of a couple pages is a few sentences. A book might have a short paragraph per chapter.

3. A critical evaluation of the entry. Saying an article is required for the class is not an evaluation. Because you found an article in the Regis library it is not automatically from a credible source. Is it marketing fluff, practical, academic? Is the article superficial or full of meat?

4. Comments on the usefulness of the article to your research such as the date of the publication; whether or not there have been subsequent revisions or editions of the work that would mean it is more authoritative; whether or not the work is from a scholarly, substantive, popular, or sensationalized source, etc. Maybe it’s a good overview but your paper will require some articles of more depth.

5. A critique of the author, including the author's credentials. Many articles provide this information. Doing a quick Google scholar search might also help. Look at the number of publications, if they are peer reviewed, the author’s degrees and area of study. Reputable blogs can be used but the author background research needs to be more than cursory. Marketing whitepapers by companies need to be evaluated with an awareness of the products they are trying to sell.

6. Relevant references in the work. Some authors only list their own other papers. This might say they don’t do real research. It might also indicate that the author does a lot of research in the field. References are great for finding source information such as general overviews and other authors well known in the field.
