To successfully complete this writing assignment, include all required components in a three-four-page paper (excluding title and reference pages). In addition to the course textbook, your paper must include at least two APA citations from scholarly sources published in the past seven years to support your discussion (this means a minimum of three references—the textbook plus two additional scholarly sources).

To best set up your paper for this assignment, start with an  outline (Links to an external site.)  of what you will include, based on the following requirements. The outline is NOT your assignment, but it helps to set up your paper for success to help identify all of the content areas and resources for your paper you will turn in. Use this outline to determine the appropriate APA headings to be applied to your paper. Do not upload an outline to Waypoint. To see APA guidelines for headings, visit  APA Style Elements  (Links to an external site.)  in the UAGC Writing Center.

Include the following in your paper:

· Cover page with the required information listed below

· Introduction and thesis statement

· Interpret the messages of each quote in terms of principles of effective leadership discussed in the respective chapter of the course textbook. Be sure to cite the textbook appropriately.

· Interpret the message of the quote in terms of absolute power/control and ethics. Use scholarly sources to justify your reasoning.

· For each quote, include one example of a real or realistic fictitious professional scenario that illustrates the interaction of power, ethics, and leadership based on the quotes you selected (one scenario per quote).

· Identify an ethical challenge a leader might face and propose an innovative solution to the challenge. Your solution should adapt and employ relevant leadership skills, abilities, theories, or methodologies gained from the textbook and other scholarly sources.

· Conclusion

· APA-formatted references page. For support formatting your paper in APA, visit the UAGC Writing Center’s and  Formatting Your References List (Links to an external site.) .

Suggestion: Complete your paper before the weekend to also take advantage of running a  Paper Review (Links to an external site.)  in the UAGC Writing Center to support your success
