I am LaCretia “Cretia” Daniels. I have over 20 years of experience working with children in both educational and support roles. My career started in my family’s daycare and preschool, where I developed a strong passion for helping children. I later worked as a substitute teacher in Galveston County schools, which led me to pursue a more permanent role in education. I spent five years as a PASS Aide, supporting students with behavioral and emotional needs. After that, I joined a Behavior Response Team, helping students who needed extra support in the classroom. Currently, I work with the Department of Family and Protective Services (CPS), where I continue to do what I love—helping children and making a positive difference in their lives.

On October 13, 2025 I will be a proud graduate of UAGC receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree.  My career goal is to continue working within Child Protective Services (DFPS) to advocate for the well-being of young children, using my background in early childhood development and differentiated instruction to assess developmental needs and support appropriate educational and care plans. I’m especially interested in creating trauma-informed strategies that help children heal, grow, and succeed in safe environments.
