Answer: Intermountain health communicates effectively to their employees through the use of various methods such as formal documents in their website known as Um care process guidelines, use of flyers on bulletin boards.
3. How is Intermountain Health keeping up with the new era of communication (the Internet)?
Answer: It uses technology through the use of an integrated longitudinal medical records system that allows pulling up in computers of all the information documented and what transpired in one medical center to allow the passing of information to the other medical center. The internet still allows keeping and monitoring records of patients in all their medical centers. Additionally, it helps to communicate with the patient through responding to their questions and inquiries.
4. Do language barriers in a diverse workforce create a major impact when it comes to the health care industry?
Answer: Yes, it creates a lot of misunderstanding due to lack of understanding of each other. For example, a patient might ask a question in a language that the physicians or nurses do not understand. This may bring chaos in the healthcare industry because one can prescribe medication that does not fit the requirements of the patient's condition.

Answer: Organizations like intermountain health can establish effective communication by use of recent communication tools like the internet, creating communication platforms, through the use of messaging systems that enable easy communications and face-to-face communication through meetings. These will allow effective communications in the organization.
