Citizenship behaviors are the decisions that employees make to enable them to go beyond their assigned roles and go a step ahead and give more support to the company (Bolino & Klotz, 2017). This may involve a decision to give a hand to coworkers, taking special assignments voluntary, attending optional gatherings, sacrificing to spend more extra hours at work to complete essential projects, enable introduction of new ideas new idea to ensure that their company is/are more efficient and effective (Bolino & Klotz, 2017). On the other hand, Citizenship fatigue is the state of an employee to feel tired and stressed due to spending extra time in work doing citizenship behaviors.

One way mentioned in the article that can be used to motivate employees to get improved ways of demonstrating citizenship behavior is through enhancing citizenship crafting (Bolino & Klotz, 2017). This helps the employees to change and adjust their minds and plans to those that fit their strengths, motives, and passion. This is because people differ in interests and strengths.

Citizenship crafting has an impact on both the managers and the employee. For example, citizenship crafting helps managers to enable the delivery of services of higher quality and more beneficial acts of citizenship to the organization (Bolino & Klotz, 2017). It also increases job performance. Again, it reduces the burden on managers of providing extrinsic motivation to employees to spend extra time in work since employees get intrinsic motivation for work. On the side of the employees, it helps them acquire intrinsic motivation in their work rather than relying on extrinsic motivation (Bolino & Klotz, 2017). Additionally, citizenship crafting helps employees to feel less stressed and tired because in crafting they do what is in line with their passion and strength.

In school, some of the citizenship behaviors I demonstrate in school include cleaning the compound and helping my fellow students. It is always my passion to do cleaning and help anyone whenever I can. This gives me more pleasure in life than anything else. Going to bed tired knowing that I helped someone or gave back to society is my greatest happiness.
