The underlying effect of childhood trauma

· Body of paper (pp. 3-9). In approximately seven pages, you will present your report. Although the structure and content of the report is up to you, it should convey that that you have worked diligently on this project for three months, that you have thought deeply about your subject, that you have examined many layers of this person’s psychological life, and that you have taken care to craft a powerful composition that helps the reader better understand this subject in a particular way (i.e., your angle).

Although not mandatory, here is a generic template that might help you organize your report:

Capsule overview of subject (1-2 paragraphs)

Exposition of your interests in subject and the angle you took to better understand them, which concludes with a “roadmap” (e.g., “In this report I will…, then I will…”, etc.) of your analysis (1-2 paragraphs)

Your analysis, which will be heavily supported by evidence (e.g., quotes, images). Although your analysis could take many forms, it will likely be thematic in that you will explore particular themes in your subject’s psychology that illuminate your angle (5-10 paragraphs). Ideally, your themes will be supported by several types of evidence (self-talk, others’ accounts, works, etc.)

Discussion of your analysis, which will articulate your subject’s social significance, why your life story of this person matters, what broader issues it may speak to, etc. (1-2 paragraphs)

Conclusion that succinctly summarizes the entire report (1 short paragraph)
