Activity 2: Language and Communication
1. Visit the Endangered Language Project’s interactive map of endangered languages by following this link: ELP interactive map
2. Explore languages that are ‘severely endangered’ (red) by clicking on the red dots on the map. You can drag the map to view all of the continents. The website provides some basic information if you click on the name of the language.
3. Select a severely endangered language of interest to you from the map.
4. Research the people who speak this language and write a 300-500 word summary about the group of people that speaks this language.
The paper should include at least one academic source as reference (Wikipedia does not count as a source). A citation for your source(s) must be included at the end of your summary.
5. Save your work with your name and the activity number and upload it under Activity 2 on Blackboard.
