Classroom Observation - Dunlap
CLASSROOM OBSERVATION:
Alice Dunlap is teaching a sixth-grade math class using a blended learning model. Students receive instruction from both the teacher and through technology. Students are usually able to work at their own pace and personalize the learning for themselves in this flipped classroom. They can rewind lecture videos, do activities more than once and use online discussion boards to share ideas or get help from peers. By implementing the blended learning model in her classroom, Mrs. Dunlap can devote more time to addressing the various needs of her students, whether that is providing extra support for struggling students or extending the learning for students that have already mastered concepts.
TASK- View video and complete observation reflection
Effective teachers always reflect on the lesson, and lesson outcomes. Listen as the teacher reflects on this lesson, and compare it to the responses you have written on the observation worksheet. Use both the teacher’s reflections and your own observation when writing your overall observational reflection.
