Final Project Submission Directions

Before working on your final grant project, review the Final Project Guidelines provided in this week’s Learning Resources. Then review your RFP. Keep in mind as you complete your grant proposal that you are writing, as much as possible, to reflect the requirements and focus of the RFP. If any of the Assignments required in this course are not required in your RFP, they are nevertheless to be included in your Final Project submission. Review feedback you have received from your Instructor on Parts 1–3 of the Final Project. Incorporate this feedback as appropriate or desired into the final product. This assignment will be 10–15 pages (excluding APA references).

A. Overall Assignment Cover Page:

1. Insert the Title of the Assignment and center it on the middle of the first page of your final project.

2. Insert your first and last Name and center it on the middle of the first page under the Title.

3. Insert the Name of the university and center it on the middle of the first page under your name.

4. Hit your return button until a new blank page begins.

B. Next is your grant title page.

1. Hit your return button until a new blank page begins.

C. At the top of this new page is where you will insert a heading that is centered on the page and in bold that says Introduction.

1. Write an introductory paragraph that introduces the entire project to the reader. This should be 3-6 sentences.

D. Insert a heading that is centered on the page and in bold that says Part 1.

1. The next part that you will insert is the grant’s Part 1: Need Statement, Goals, and Objectives.

2. Make sure you have headings and sub-headings that designate the different segments of this part of your final grant project.

3. At the end of this part 1, you will immediately insert the next part.

E. Insert a heading that is centered on the page and in bold that says Part 2.

1. The next part is your grant’s Part 2: Methodology and Evaluation Plans.

2. Make sure you continue to have headings and sub-headings that designate the different segments of this part of your final grant project.

3. At the end of this part 2, you will immediately insert the next part.

F. Insert a heading that is centered on the page and in bold that says Part 3.

1. The next part is your grant’s Part 3: Budget, Budget Narrative, Sustainability Plan.

2. Make sure you have headings and sub-headings that designate the different segments of this part of your final grant project.

3. Hit your return button until a new blank page begins.

G. Insert a heading that is centered on the page and in bold that says Conclusion.

1. Insert the summary of your entire paper and what the reader just read. The summary paragraph is not the same as the introductory paragraph.

H. Insert your reference page(s) beginning on this new blank page.

1. Insert all of the references you used for all parts of this grant project. The references must be in APA format. This includes each reference being in APA format and also the entire list being in APA format.

2. Do not have any extra blank pages at the end of your final project.

I. Make sure your entire document is in the same font and has the same font size.

J. Spell check the entire document.

K. Grammar check the entire document.

L. Read through your entire document one last time.

M. Save the Word file.

N. Submit the final grant project.

O. Breathe a sigh of relief!
