In the reference list entry template, elements in black font are standard parts of the reference. You should fill in the elements in red font based on the source that you’re citing. If any element is missing (for example, if a journal has no issue number), simply omit that element from your reference list entry.
For books, if the author and publisher are the same, you should omit the publisher element from your reference list entry to avoid repetition.
Note that for a chapter from an authored book (that is, when every chapter in the book is written by the same author), you should just have one reference list entry for the entire book. If you quote or paraphrase from the book, your in-text citation should include information about the specific part of the book that was used.
For a chapter from an edited book, you should have a reference list entry for each chapter of the book that you used.
For a direct quotation or paraphrase from a video, provide a time stamp for the beginning of the quoted/paraphrased material, as in the sample in-text citation above.
