DNP Practicum independent study: eXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to summarize the practice experience that occurred through DNP 756 enrollment this term. The student will utilize the practice site of their choice to develop and/or evaluate effective strategies for addressing a nursing practice issue inherent in patient care, health care organizations, or research.

Requirements
1. To complete this assignment, you will need to perform a literature search and utilize scholarly resources. Databases can be accessed through the Touro Online Library. The Nursing Subject Guide is a great starting point.
2. The Executive Summary is worth 100 points and will be graded using the designated rubric. Grading criteria include quality of content, appropriate citations, use of Standard English grammar, and overall organization and readability.
3. Create your assignment using a Microsoft Word Application. The paper should be submitted in a .doc or .docx format.
4. The paper should be 3–5 pages in length, excluding the title page and reference pages. Content should be rich and concise.
5. APA 7th Edition format is required.
PAPER SECTIONS AND Content
The following sections should be included and denoted via APA section headings throughout the paper.
· Introduction to Current Situation
· Describes significance to DNP level nursing practice, practicum site, and service population
· Discusses current practice/problem and how project is relevant to the organizational mission/vision
· Pertinent background or scholarly evidence to support project intervention
· Objectives–includes 3 objectives
· Objectives must be measurable and directly relate to the proposed practice contract in an area of patient care, health care organization leadership, or research.
· Objectives should be realistic for the timeframe.
· Strategies–discussion of specific strategies to meet objectives.
· Includes a brief discussion of methodology for intervention and evaluation.
· Includes how organizational culture issues were addressed.
· Includes strategies for appropriate use of resources.
· Describes how internal and external resources were utilized or was it necessary to acquire new resources.
· Action Plan
· Identify specific action steps taken to accomplish objectives.
· Provide appropriate timeline for each action and for the completion of the intervention and evaluation.
· Discuss stakeholders that were involved in the action plan.
