The Metropolis Health System managers are working on their budgets for next year. Each
manager must annualize his or her staffing plan, and thus must convert staff net paid days
worked to a factor.
The Emergency Room is fully staffed seven days per week and the employees have 8 holidays, 5
sick days, 10 vacation days, and 5 education days each year. The Outpatient lab is only open 5
days per week and those employees have 8 holidays, 0 education days, 3 personal leave days and
5 sick days per year.
