Discussion and Response: What is the Purpose of Technology? What is the role of technology in business solutions?

            In the initial days of the development of the mobile phones, there is no facility to make use of the internet. But, nowadays, each and every mobile phone is coming up with the facility of the internet. This can be seen as the technology. The main purpose of using technology is to make the lives of people comfortable. With this, the companies can also earn an income. We can achieve the feature of security which is an important factor in the current days with the help of technology. The improvements of the society, as well as the humans, will completely depend on the technology. We are able to provide the solutions to all the existing problems with the help of the technology. Here, I want to say about the technology of the home automation where I have seen setup for my house (Phaal et al, 2001).

            In general, we need to take care of our house, switch off the lights, when we are coming to somewhere. But the automation will be able to do these on their own. Here, we have arranged the security cameras at the entrance where they will capture the images of the persons who are visiting to our home. It requires charging where it needs to be connected with the help of the plug. Here, as it is in continuous plug mode, the device got overheated and we are not able to see the persons clearly. If we add another device to it, then both the systems are not in a position to integrate with each other. They are not compatible with each other. It there is no compatibility, then we will not be in a position to make use of the device. Instead of making use of the charging plug, the company can make use of the internal devices that are capable of giving the charging in the time if required (Gill et al, 2009).
