Objective: Identify the characteristics of Big Data

Requirements:

1. Read the section on Big Data in the Competency 6 Tutorial: Data -  Databases -Big Data .  DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADVANCED ASSESSMENT BIG DATA IN THE TUTORIAL. This assignment is different!

2. Search on the Internet for 'Big Data Case Studies'. 

a. Select a Big Data Case Study to research for this assignment. Make sure you have the information needed to answer all of the required questions below for the case study.

b. Write a short description of the case study including the following information:

· Name of the company

· Type of data collected

· How the data was used

· How the company benefited from the data

c. You should have about 2 paragraphs or a half-page of information about the case study.

3. You can post your findings directly in the Comments box for this assignment, or you can attach a document with the information. Be sure to include the URL of the case study that you selected.
