6.3 Discussion. Reflection Video - Discuss Results of Course Project

Getting Started

As you reflect back over the six weeks of this course, likely you have gained new insights into global leadership and how leaders who engage with people from other cultures must adopt a global mindset and a set of global competencies (often through higher cultural intelligence) in order to lead effectively. For this final assignment, you will record a reflection video that summarizes your learning in this course and how you expect to apply it to your own leadership now and in the future.

Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:

· Synthesize the cumulative learning from the six workshops of this course.

Instructions

1. Record a 3-minute video using Video Note in Brightspace. (For assistance, watch the  Video Note instructions video (new tab)  or read the  Video Note instructions article (new tab) .)

2. In your video recording, reflect upon the following topics:

a. What major themes most resonated with you from this course (and course project)?

b. Which areas of global leadership do you consider you most need to develop further? How will you pursue that development?

c. What opportunities might you have to use what you have learned by leading a global team meeting?

3. You may find it helpful to jot down an outline that you wish to cover as you speak into the camera. Avoid reading a script. Instead, let your personality show through. Don’t worry about trying to make it “perfect,” just be yourself.
