Case Study Questions

Cameron was devastated to find that her mother was no longer present. Separation

Anxiety is the main root of this conduct. The fear of being removed from one's parent or primary

caregiver is separation anxiety. It typically reaches a zenith as the newborn approaches the end of

his or her first year (Eyer & Gonzalez-Mena, 2017). The transition may be difficult if a child

begins child care during this critical stage. Children who enter child care before or during their

separation anxiety peak perform better than those who attend later.

Cameron's mother's absence from class, while distracted, was inexcusable and

detrimental to Cameron's capacity to reason appropriately. Cameron's brain translates her actions

into data, which she then distributes to others. According to brain research, these early activities

help form brain circuits and activate mirror neurons in the developing brain. These channels

contribute to the formation of a physical trust foundation. Positive experiences contribute to the

maintenance of robust brain connections (Eyer & Gonzalez-Mena, 2017). Infants require this

attachment because they are biologically incapable of physically attaching to humans for feeding

and care. They seek support from one another. Attachment to another person is a natural way of

ensuring that someone will care (emotionally) and offer care for you (in the physical sense).

Cameron exhibits bad habits after her mother leaves, causing her brain to become unstable,

ending in schizophrenia. Later in life, she would have reservations about her talent; trust issues.

In this case, as a caregiver, I would emphasize the need for high-quality programs.

Parents may also benefit from high-quality programs that emphasize the importance of

departures in developing trust between children and their parents. Assistance in making

goodbyes predictable and preventing sneaking away is crucial for children's well-being.

Gradually, the small child will comprehend that returning is a necessary component of saying

goodbye (Eyer & Gonzalez-Mena, 2017). Apart from that, as a loving caretaker, I would support

Cameron's bond with her mother and the development of trust. It is beneficial for parents and

young children to have attentive caretakers who provide the necessary vocabulary for

communicating complicated feelings. Regardless of how painful they may be, acceptance of

feelings lays the groundwork for children's emotional development.

As a caregiver, I have discovered the following strategies for coping with separation

anxiety fears. I prepared to say my final goodbyes; as a caregiver, allow me to leave a child for

brief periods. Your youngster will eventually understand that he or she can rely on your return

(Eyer & Gonzalez-Mena, 2017). Plan a departure with caution. When leaving, if the child is

exhausted, hungry, or restless, they are more likely to throw a tantrum. Leave as soon as possible

once the youngster has been fed and slept. Give a child something to anticipate. Discuss an

exciting event that will occur while you are away with your child. This is an excellent

opportunity to practice saying goodbye for an extended time. Say a kind farewell, and then walk

away is on. Remind the child that you will return when you depart. Schedule your return at a

specified time, such as after lunch. Take note of it mentally. Provide a particular blanket, plush

animal, or another reassuring thing for the youngster to hold while you are gone. Maintain a

healthy perspective on your tears. The youngster's cries are an attempt to ward off an intruder.

Tears are unlikely to last long after the caregiver/parent has left, primarily if the kid is engaged in

a new activity.
