  • The treatment of the disease is depending on the stage of the disease.
  • One of the treatment approach is the cleaning of the ulcer and putting a dressing on the wound.
  • There is also meticulous wound care with occasional dressing.
  • It is also important to reposition and support the surfaces to help in the reduction of the pressure(Irmak, Bas, Sizmas, Akbulut, & Karsidag, 2019) .

Treatment of the Decubitus ulcers

The treatment of the disease is depending on the stage of the disease. One of the treatment approach is the cleaning of the ulcer and putting a dress on the wound. • The antibacterial medication also helps in the treatment of the infection.
  • Pain relieving medication helps in relieving the discomfort.
  • The dead tissues from the ulcers can be removed through debridement surgery.
  • Changes in the diet is also recommended in addition to the increase in the fluid intake for quicker recovery (Norman, Dumville, Moore, Tanner, Christie, & Goto, 2016).
