Questions from exit cards ¨ In what ways has training changed since COVID? (e.g. WFH) ¨ Is EMT only done online? Can it be done in person? ¨ Wouldn’t error management training demotivate trainees if they
aren’t aware of the method? ¨ Is EMT useful in all situations? ¨ Under what circumstances does error-avoidance training outperform
EMT? ¨ Is it better to have an outside power/authority monitor our training? ¨ What factors should be taken into account when considering
outsourcing part of or all of the training development/facilitation? ¨ What happens if we outsourced training and it turns out to be
ineffective? ¨ How do we enable trainers to avoid bias? ¨ What job opportunities are there related to training in an
organization?

• When process is carefully planned and structured, it can be highly effective and efficient
• “Trainers” aren’t trained • Bad attitudes and work habits are perpetuated • Trainer may be worried that trainee will take their job • Training outcomes might not be clear; the “why” is missing • May require trainee to do the “dirty work” • Correct incentives may not be in place • Can be inefficient and ineffective
