The opportunities to lead global teams virtually seem to exceed the actual mobilization of expatriates to live and work in other cultures. Even if you happen to live in a very homogenous culture in small town USA, there certainly exists in our global marketplace today the distinct possibility that you will find yourself sooner than later leading or working with a global team. Imagine your first Zoom session with team members who are located in several countries of the world, even scattered across continents. How would you begin such a meeting, even assuming that everyone spoke the same language? Consider the many barriers that exist in trying to facilitate a productive meeting like this! For this assignment, we will examine more closely those barriers and then identify ways to adapt to them.

Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:

· Explain leader skills and competencies that may be employed in order to more effectively lead global teams.
