safety; communication; collaborative, positive work relationships; worked design(space/facility); work

processes; infrastructure the support staff participation in decision-making; and an emphasis on positive

to develop staff.” (Finkelman 2017, p483).  Based on my nursing experience in the hospital that I work

at.  We have the whiteboard in the patient’s room which prioritizes each individual point of care, and

we also have what we call a rapid response team was just like in the video “Transforming Care at the

bedside, Empowering Better Nursing Care.”  We have a number that we call if we notice that there is a

deterioration in the patient’s status as nursing staff, we also encourage family members to pick up that

phone and dial the number for rapid response if they notice a change in their loved one's status.  To

maintain an environment that works the steps that would I take to implement this change, I agree with

Finkelman where she talks about helping staff to lower burnout and or stress, support staff in

participation whenever there is an area for making a decision (which by the way, this doesn’t happen

the hospital I work at. They talk about the changes in they pass it down to us to implement them.  They

don’t ask us) also I would help in encouraging better working relationships, communication,

collaboration, and staff safety.  Zero tolerance for incivility, with tons of respect between staff members.
