Luke, for instance, embraces the use of the traditional weapon instead of the lightsaber. Han Solo wonders why Luke uses the old fashioned weapon which serves Luke well. The film goes on to urge the audience to have hope and faith in what seems invisible. Luke goes on to stare at the twin suns of Tatooine at a time when he had a quest for change in the empire. The Implicit Meaning of Star Wars There exists a hidden spiritual explanation in the film Star Wars: A New Hope in the use of ‘a pile of old books’ and the spiritual inscriptions in ‘The Last Jedi.’ In one instance, Luke plans on burning down the tree with sacred writings.
