to be appreciated for their b e a u t y o r e m o t i o n a l p o w e r .

Other activities related to the production of works of art include the criticism of art, the study of the history of art, and the aesthetic d i s s e m i n a t i o n o f a r t .

(1946-) is a performance artist and art filmmaker. Her work explores body art, endurance art and feminist art, the relationship between performer and audience, the limits of the body, the possibilities of the mind . She pioneered a new notion of identity by bringing in the participation of observers, focusing on “ confronting pain, blood, and physical limits of the body.
