Hello class,

I live in a small town called Sierra Vista. It is adjacent to Fort Huachuca which is known as home of Military Intelligence. Due to comparably easy weather, many soldiers end up retiring in Sierra Vista. According to Worldpopulationreview.com, There are 33095 adults and 7769 of them are seniors. That makes 23.47% of adults are older than 65 years old. When compared 15% which is the senior population of the United States, it is significant amount. As we are facing this deadly virus today, our population is in great risk knowing that the virus is very lethal to older population. Another problem we face is shortage for ventilator. In Sierra Vista, there is only one hospital that has an emergency room. Canyon Vista Medical Center has 3 ventilators. So far Cochise county only has 39 cases and have not hit its peak yet, but when it does Canyon Vista Medical Center is not ready to support all the patients. In addition, because many in our population are considered high risk, we need to continue to practice good social distancing and hygiene. Lock down until the trend moves downward for at least couple of weeks.  I honestly think IF it gets to the point of peak it is too late. We need to be proactive and prevent it before this peak arrives.
