After you have completed this week's reading assignments, conduct some additional research on

project management methodologies. Then, in your initial discussion post, compare and contrast

CP—the most commonly used project management methodology—with two alternatives. You

might, for example, compare and contrast CP with two popular alternatives such as critical chain

(CC) and agile, but if you have specific experience with another methodology, draw upon your

personal experience.

Address the following in your initial post:

What are the advantages and disadvantages of each methodology?

What criteria would you use to choose one particular methodology over another for a

particular project?

Give concrete examples from your own experience and/or research to support your

position.

Note: This week you must make your own initial post before you will be given access to the posts

of your peers. Once you have made your initial post, you will not be able to delete or revise it, so

make sure you have done the proper research and that your work is polished and ready for

submittal before posting.

In response to your peers, note the points upon which you agree and diverge regarding a

particular methodology and discuss those points. Again, support your position with specific

examples from your own experience or from your research.

Note: The insight gleaned from this discussion will be directly applicable to Section III: Project

Methodology of your final project.
