Predecessors: The Project team has determined that 1 must precede 2 must precede 3 must precede 4. 3 must precede 5 must precede 6 must precede 7. 4 & 7 must precede 8 must precede 9.

Assume a work week is 40 hours, Monday through Friday. Overtime rate is 1 ½ times the contract cost. Holiday rate is 2 times the contract cost. However, XYZ, Inc. has not authorized any use of overtime or holiday rates. The start date for the project is June 15.

Make sure you fill out RESOURCES SHEET and assign them! You only need to complete Resource Name and Standard Rate. This is found under Task, then click the down arrow by Gantt Chart.

CREATE a Gantt chart, Network Diagram, Resource Sheet of this Project. The Network Diagram is created as you are creating the Gantt Chart.

Assign resources as listed in the tables above to the Gantt chart. This is done on the Gantt Chart. Highlight which task you want to assign the resources to, then right click and choose Assign Resources. Choose the right person and enter the percent as shown on the table on page 1.

What are the different paths and what is the critical path and how long is it? Look at the Network Diagram to determine the different paths and calculate how long each path is and determine the Critical Path.

If the cost of equipment is $350,000, what is the overall contracted cost of the project? Add this to the cost of all the different employees for the total cost of the project. To find this information, go to Project, Project Information then click Statistics.

In this exercise, students will use Project Management Software to:

· Calculate the Critical Path.

· Predict overall cost of a project.
