Discussion 13 – Cultural Pluralism

Introduction

This is an image called "Pyramid of White Supremacy," in which every layer, every brick, depends on the ones below it for support and continuance. Just think, if the bricks in the base layer were removed, the entire pyramid would come crumbling down.  This pyramid relates so directly to what we've been talking about all semester.  Please take some time to consider the pyramid as it is presented here, think about how it relates to this week's topic of cultural pluralism, and think about how you may have contributed to the bricks that make up the foundation of this pyramid.  Please consider that no matter your culture or the color of your skin, this pyramid is relevant to all of us, as we all have a role to play in either building up or breaking down forces of oppression in our shared society.
