Explanation:

In my perspective, the core information contained in the previous literature review paper is the diverse challenges that international students face as they pursue education to become global citizens. Thus, from the literature review, the information I kept in my infographic entailed the challenges faced by international students in a global educational system. However, the information presentation has been changed both in quantity and communication style. In this regard, this information has been communicated visually in the infographic, and a description of a few words accompanies the images presenting the various challenges.

The infographic exploits various elements to communicate information to the target audience effectively. First, the infographic has an attractive use of color, images, and organizational style that attracts the reader's attention, making their reading process more enjoyable. Besides that, by using more visual cues than text, the infographic avoids overloading the reader's memory, enabling the target audience to digest its message effectively compared to the original content purely based on text.

The infographic is similar to the previous text-based genre as they both employ text in their communication style. However, the infographic uses significantly lesser text, embracing visual content to communicate to its target audience. Besides that, the infographic is more attractive hence more attention-drawing. Thus, the target audience is more likely to read the infographic compared to the previous text-based content. Cognitive studies indicate that visuals enhance communication as they can convey large amounts of information in a short period (Flynn, 2019). In this regard, I employed the infographic genre as it communicates effectively compared to text-based content.
