Nursing
Module Nine: Pathophysiology and Well-being
Module Objectives:
1. Explore the pathophysiologic benefits of optimal nutrition and the consequences of over or under nutrition.
2. Examine the impact the pathophysiologic impact of stress on well-being.
3. Appraise the physiologic benefits and potential risks associated with exercise.
4. Describe the benefits of adequate sleep and the physiologic consequences of insufficient or disturbed sleep.
5. Explore the significance of adequate hydration as it relates to well-being.
6. Appraise lifestyle factors and social determinants that may impact an individual's efforts to promote well-being

The Well-being Analysis
Please see the course calendar for due dates. See the Well - being analysis folder (found under content) for guidance. See the grading rubric in the syllabus appendices. It is copied in below for your convenience
Appendix H: Well-Being Analysis Paper
Faculty genuinely value holistic self-care and appreciate the profound significance of psychological health, emotional health, social health, spiritual health, relational health, professional health, and financial health. These types of health impact each other in profound ways! However, in this pathophysiology class, this assignment will focus on self-care in the physical domain. As you complete your analysis, you will likely note that physical health often impacts other types of health.
Using the information from your text book along with professional nursing articles , write a professional paper analyzing the physiologic impact of common modifiable health care practices. You will notice that there are generally far more than two benefits and/or consequences associated with each of these modifiable health care practices. However, the objective is to dive deeper into the pathophysiology of the modifiable health care practices as opposed to including as many as possible.
