Journal Assignment of Community Service

The purpose of the journal is to relate the experience you had during your community service volunteer hours:

· Describe the organization you volunteered for. Whom do they serve? What kinds of services do they offer? If you worked in a classroom, describe the grade level, who the students are, and whom you worked with. Also explain why you chose that particular place to do your community service.

· What were you duties and responsibilities? Be specific and give examples.

· What did you learn from the experience? Did it change your ideas or beliefs about the population you worked with?

· Describe some of the challenges and successes you experienced.

· Would you want to continue working with the same population now or in the future? Why or why not?
