AERO 3030 Propulsion Fundamentals
Writing Assignments | Summer 2020
The criteria for writing assignments are listed below.
Formatting (1 point)
• Double spaced, 1 inch margins, and Times New Roman (or similar font) at 12 point
• Include your name, article title, and author
Content (5 points)
• Write a one paragraph summary of the article you read
• There should be SIX lines minimum, and it should not exceed one page
• The summary should not include your personal comments
• Do not quote any part of the article in your summary; use your words only
Grammar (4 points)
• The summary should be free of grammatical errors
Submission
• Submit a digital file on D2L
• Late submissions are not allowed
Plagiarism Detection
• You will see the originality percentage when you submit your work on D2L (it may take an hour
to display the originality percentage)
• Anything over 20% will automatically be scored as a 0
• You may resubmit the assignment if the percentage is too high (only before the deadline!!)
Grading
• 50% content
• 40% grammar
• 10% format
