Overview: Write a 3-page rough draft of your paper. This rough draft only needs to be 3 full pages, so it will only be part of your research essay. Upload your 3-page rough draft here by Thursday, 12/3/20, by 11:59pm.

After turning in your rough draft, you will give peer feedback to 2 peers and will receive feedback from 2 peers too. Provide feedback to your two assigned peers by Saturday, 12/5, by 11:59pm.

Peer Review Instructions: When you peer review the 3-page rough drafts of TWO of your peers, please ask yourself the following questions:

1. Does the student have an introduction with a hook, a bridge, and a clear thesis? 2. Is the thesis argumentative, advocating a position on a controversy relevant to the assignment? 3. Does the person have body paragraphs that start with topic sentences? 4. Do the topic sentences clearly tie back to the thesis, using key terms or concepts? 5. Does the person have evidence in each body paragraph? 6. Is the evidence they've chosen relevant and convincing for the point they're making in that

paragraph? 7. Does the person analyze and interpret the evidence afterwards? (Make sure no paragraphs end with

quotes that are unexplained.) 8. Does the argument seem balanced? Does it seem to take multiple sides into consideration? 9. Does the student cite their quotes and paraphrases correctly to avoid plagiarism?

10. Is the student using sources that seem credible and reliable? 11. Anything else you can suggest for the person?

**NOTE: You do not need to directly answer each question listed one-by-one, but please consider and address these questions when you are making margin comments throughout the papers that
