3.4 Assignment. Cultural Dimensions Flashcards

Getting Started

This assignment involves the creation of flashcards that you would use in teaching others about cultural dimensions. They may be especially helpful to you in familiarizing yourself with these new concepts. Your primary objective is to create flashcards that display a term on one side and a concise definition/explanation on the other side. Use the technology embedded in this assignment to create your cards.

Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:

· Assess ways in which global leaders may effectively use an understanding of cultural dimensions.

Instructions

1. Following the steps in the "Creating Dialog Cards in H5P" dropdown menu below, create 10 flashcards, one for each of the following cultural dimension terms:

a. Power Distance

b. Individualism

c. Collectivism

d. Masculinity

e. Femininity

f. Uncertainty Avoidance

g. Long Term Orientation

h. Short Term Orientation

i. Indulgence

j. Restraint

2. One side of each dialog card should simply contain the term; the other side should feature a concise definition of the term.

3. When all 10 dialog cards have been created and saved, copy the URL address of the H5P activity.

4. Access the 3.4 assignment submission page here in Brightspace, and paste the URL into the “Text Submission” box. Then select “Submit.”
