Your abstract will describe what inspired you to conduct this particular research. It can essentially set the overall tone of the paper and should include your topic, problem statement and purpose, methods, design, and data collection/analysis.

Your interview should be conducted in a friendly, yet fact-finding fashion, such that the interviewee’s expertise is communicated as extremely valuable to you, the researcher.

Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:

· Prepare an abstract for the research paper.

· Conduct interviews with case study subjects.

· Prepare a summary of case study interviews.

Background Information

The creation of an abstract during this juncture in the process will assist you, the researcher, with the preliminary preparation necessary to create a draft of the capstone paper. By this point, you will have completed interview preparation, with the location, consent, and instruments aligned. In this assignment, you will prepare a summary of the interviews conducted with your case study subject or subjects.

Instructions

1. Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.

2. Prepare a one-page (100- to 500-word) abstract for your research paper.

3. Review the writing resources available by going to the IWU Resources link under the Course Dashboard.

i. To access an example of an abstract in an APA paper in PDF format, look for the link entitled "Sample APA Paper" and click on it.

4. Prepare a one- to two-page summary of interviews conducted with your case study subject or subjects.

5. APA in-text citations and references should be used for all references made in your writing.
