3.1 Discussion
Crime-solving is a difficult task. The rapid rate at which technology changes can make solving cyber-related crimes even more difficult. Solving cybercrimes requires excellence as the standard for success. Unfortunately, that standard cannot be easily achieved, if at all. Fortunately, we are not laboring alone in this journey.
This week, we will explore the importance of striving for excellence in our endeavors.
Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:
· Describe how we are co-laborers with God.

Background Information
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Colossians 3:23–24
Investigating cybercrimes often requires an excruciating amount of detailed investigation and forensics analysis. If steps are missed, vital evidence or information could be lost for good. As already mentioned, this line of work requires a standard of excellence to ensure maximum success. Colossians 3:23–24 adds clarity to what a standard of excellence should be by reminding us that we should do everything as if we are working directly for the Lord.
While we are doing work as if directly for Him, God also partners with us through the Holy Spirit to ensure that we are not alone in our work. More accurately, He co-labors with us in everything we do. This co-laboring is a partnership and demands the very best from us, always! We should not cut corners nor work with a minimalist mindset. Instead, we should seek new and innovative ways to accomplish every task placed in front of us to the absolute best of our ability, knowing that He is laboring right beside us every step of the way.
