These images are all similar in that the hands are "helping hands" in a sense. The image of Adam and God has God reaching out to Adam, the Giving and Receiving shows hands of refugees being helped by and aid worker and the Robot with the Grappler is holding an injured Palestinian. The difference is with Image 5, the robotic arm is helping by restraining the man who was a suicide bomber that survived an early detonation. While the other two images show a different way of helping by finding God or receiving aid. Each of these images speaks to me differently. The image of Adam and God is a spiritual image that shows the creation of Adam. This is profound because it shows faith in a higher power and being in touch with ones spirituality. The image of the Syrian refugees receiving food expresses being in touch with humanity, and the final image shows the how in touch humans have become with technology. I think at the end of this all the message is that we are all human beings and are connected by that regardless of our faith or choices. The suicide bomber, was likely doing this for his religious beliefs and although it is viewed as negative, it is what connects it to the other images. The other 2 images are depicting a more positive side of spirituality, Adam for instance is close to God. The aid worker is involved in humanitarian work, these all show how we are connected as humans. I am not sure if this makes sense, but Image one is the creation or giving of life, Image 2 is the sustaining life and Image 3 is the end or near death. I felt like they can be viewed as timeline when all 3 are viewed in order.

The first thing I noticed is that all of the images show hands reaching out with a finger or fingers pointed outwards. Even the machine in the picture on page 256 has its "arm" and "hand" reaching out to secure that person. The differences I see is that the first image involves only two hands while the second image shows eight or nine hands. The last photo shows two hands, but it's of a single person. All three images convey a different emotion with the Adam and God image communicating love, the image below this one gives feelings of sharing, and the robot image is one of relief that the individual was not successful. I find the giving and receiving image is most effective because it shows something like five or six different people trying to grab hold of one ear of corn. I feel hunger and desperation in these people.
