Kim Ngyuen is a manager at a nationwide communications company, XConnect. Because of a declining economy, company revenues have fallen 29 percent since last quarter. On Friday, Kim sent the following press release regarding the company:

“As you all know, our economy has slowed down nationwide, but prices for all services and goods are rising rapidly. Plus, the communications industry is changing. Most communications companies are streamlining their operations to meet economic challenges. Many operations are moving offshore. Investors demand that our company show profitability. Soon, with improved strategies, we will be able to increase our business. However, in the short term, to offset losses, we will cut approximately 1,000 jobs. The company will offer voluntary separation packages followed by involuntary cuts as needed.”

Question

Although the information about job loss is in Kim’s press release, Kim has placed this information at the end of a long paragraph. Is his placement of content ethical since this is how his employees learned the bad news? Has Kim used the best method of organization to convey his content?"
