Consider the following: (1) Based on Vila Health needs, what communication procedures need to be in place to overcome barriers (i.e. interpreters?) ; (2) Based on previous Vila Health experiences with disaster, what does the literature say works to prepare professionals to work together in preparation for a disaster? (i.e. disaster drills?) Be sure to review the scoring rubric as assessments are written so all elements of a criterion are addressed. Health policy in the form of triage to manage resources/patients is noted. Healthy People 2020 is mentioned, but that is outdated. What government policy applies to disasters? i.e. FEMA, DRRA, Stafford Act? To attain a higher performance level, need to explain how health and governmental policy impact disaster recovery efforts. I know you can do this!
