Key elements of the Annotated Bibliography (30 Points):

· At least six primary peer-reviewed articles are included. (6 points)

· At least two secondary peer-reviewed articles are included. (2 points)

· Each reference is complete and in the AMA format. (6 points)

· Journal articles are cited as journal articles and NOT websites

· There are 1-2 sentences that describe the main finding of this article under the reference. (16 points)

Key elements of the written paper (100 points):

· There is an introduction paragraph in the beginning and conclusion/summary paragraph at the end that ties the paper together. (10 points)

· A clear position on the topic is made in the conclusion. (10 points)

· At least six primary peer-reviewed articles and two secondary peer-reviewed articles are included. (16 points)

· Peer-reviewed articles are accurately discussed. (20 points).

· Participants, intervention, comparisons/controls, outcomes measured, and study design are correct

· Results are interpreted correctly

· Strengths and weaknesses/limitations are described

· Note: Each article can be discussed individually or you can summarize similar attributes together.

· Arguments that are made are well supported by the scientific studies included. (19 points)

· Text is clear and easy to read. (10 points).

· Scientific writing is clear and to the point

· Use action verbs

· Formatted according to the directions. (5 points).

· Approximately 5-7 pages

· Double-spaced, 11 point Arial font, 1-inch margins.

· No spelling or grammar issues (5 points).

· Work is cited and in AMA format (5 point).

· In text citations are in the correct location and are marked with a superscript number.

· Reference list is at the end of the paper and:

· Formatted according to AMA

· Journal articles are cited as journal articles and NOT websites
