Final Project
Abstract
An Ireland-based Carve On Leather company seeks international market research and analysis on the business opportunities to break into the U.S. market. Currently the business has experience of work on the West Coast, however, they are seeking to identify potential competitors in New England region to know the market and be able to sell their products to local businesses. This is a BTB project, that requires to analyze potential customers and find the way to sell products. We need to find out if there are any potential competitors in New England, so Carve On will be able to expand their business knowing their possibilities, and milestones they can face. This project includes scope statement, business case and risk management. Scope statement will demonstrate the importance of managing and leading the project within project’s goal of completing the project on time. Business case will include the key stakeholders, key of success and SWOT analysis; those parts will demonstrate essential factors of breaking into U.S. marketing in New England areas. Risk assessment of project includes items might occur during the processing and how to solve or mitigate the risk’s possibility. This project will be managed by Huiting Sun and Jian Sun with guidance from the project sponsor - Alan McCormack. It is anticipated to take less than 6 months.

Carveon specializes in quality product that blend the traditional and modern techniques that comprises of richly resourceful natural materials. Unlike other companies in the market, Carveon specializes in natural materials, which is primarily leather. Additionally, the company specializes in unique customer services such as customization of bulk and individual customer level. The company manufactures everything it sells, hence has the market advantage of managing costs and regulating its own prices in the market. Having the ability to regulate market
price enables the company to put in place customer friendly prices to put itself on the competitive edge. Several companies operate in the leather industry with more friendly business environment compared to Carve On. For example, the company has big and established competitors with clear selling preposition and resources for expansion and efficient service delivery (Phadermrod et al., 2019). Carve On is limited in its resources such as human labor, which stands at 5 people, as compared to other competitors who have a relatively larger workforce, hence able to produce more and expand.

Natural products possess threats to the environment and natural existence, hence may always be in loggerheads with regulating agencies and nature enthusiasts.
