7. Product/Audience Match

I understand that the globalization of the business environment and workplaces have created

specific skills demand from employees. Important skills demanded by successful organizations

from job candidates are academic excellence, collaboration skills, accountability, flexibility,

effective communication skills, and innovation. Firstly, I am currently planning to acquire a

bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (marketing major). Currently, I am on the process

I understand that the globalized market environment is changing rapidly in the 21st Century.

However, I understand that flexibility skill enables employees to handle the pressure of changes

enable me to match between the eight current audiences and three prospective audiences listed

above. Communication, innovation, and collaboration skills are transferrable, which will enable

me to a better match between the 11 audiences.

Synthesis and Summary

I have understood from the product/audience match analysis that the individual marketing

process relies on the 4Ps, which includes product/service, price, place, and promotion. In this

case, I see myself as a product that is marketable to the 11 identified audiences. I also portray

myself as a worthwhile investment project (Goi, 2009). Mentioning about flexibility enables me

to assure audiences of the accessibility of my services. The promotion concept involves the

communication of my values to the audiences. I have understood that audiences demand

transferrable skills from employees, including Important skills demanded by successful

organizations from job candidates are academic excellence, collaboration skills, accountability,

flexibility, effective communication skills, and innovation. I understand that increasing the level

of flexibility skills will increase the level of my competitiveness in the globalized market.
