Introduction:

Manage project team is the process of tracking the performance of the members of the team, providing feedback, resolving issues, and managing various changes to the team to maximize the performance of the project.

Objective:

· Describe different leadership styles and choose appropriate ones for the project team and for individual team members.

· Explain issues in managing cross-cultural and geographically scattered teams; and

· Provide potential employers with a professional caliber writing sample.

You are the project manager on software development project. Two team members, Jody and Anthony, are debating which is the better way for the program recover from data errors. Jody favors detailed error recovery procedures that can be used by any module in the computer program. However, Anthony believes that each programmer on the team is the best person to handle the errors that his or her code might experience. Jody and Anthony are having a heated discussion when you walk into the conference room where the debate is taking place. There are several other team members present during the meeting.

In your opinion, what is the best negotiation technique to be employed in this situation? Justify your answer.
