Doctoral degree pursuance
A doctoral degree is important academic achievement and a significant way of getting an understanding of the field in which focus has been put. In this case, the pursuance of this Doctorate in Business Administration is for different reasons. One important reason is the ability or increase in my drive for research. It will aid in the growth of knowledge regarding my personal projects and how to equip me with skills that will bring assurance in matters to do with success. This means that the research will help with gaining ample knowledge on the right way to conduct the projects for the gain of self and the public as customers. The other reason for taking on or pursuing the doctoral degree is for the sake of making contributions to the Business Administration field through personal research conducted on the matter. The knowledge that may be gained or realized in the process will then be integrated into the field so that others may gain from it as well.
SWOT analysis results
The analysis is inclusive of several aspects, that is, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The results of the strengths, in this case, are honesty, loyalty, and commitment. This shows that these are important aspects in my life and are greatly upheld in any situation, to help make me a better person and remain true to my nature by being positively impactful to the lives of others. In matters to do with the weaknesses, being an extrovert stands out most. Being an extrovert can be viewed as both as aspects of strength and weakness. As an aspect of strength, one is able to interact with others without the slightest fear socially. As a weakness, people may take advantage of this aspect or even use it against me given that I may tend to share a lot. With regard to the opportunities, I am able to use to my advantage the sources that I have access to. The sources are used in growing my knowledge and skills on matters to do with my projects. This can be in the form of relationships shared with people and the resources that I may have. I am also able to reach out to people when in need and use what is gained in the process to grow, both as a person as an influence. One of the threats is retiring from the service, which is scary in itself given the length of time in service. Having to find a new job after leaving the service is another threat. A lot of difficulties is presented after a long time of not needing to send out job applications or attending interviews. Lastly, the other threat is the worrying that comes as a result of not having enough time to keep pushing or having limited time after landing the new job.
DBA degree goals
Following the end of my DBA degree, there are three main goals that I am planning on accomplishing. One of these is conducting in-depth research on matters related to the projects I am working on which will help give me an idea on how to work around challenges and embrace opportunities. Through this in-depth research, I will be able to gain transferable skills that I will share with my team of subordinates who will then use them to their advantage and the growth of the company project. Finally, the completion of the degree will aid in my contribution to the business administration field so that the research work may be used as a reference by other experts and students. It will be an aid to growth and development within the business administration field and for strides to be made in the process.
Strengths and challenges
The goals will be achieved through persistence all the way. Other than persistence, the strengths that will help grow my motivation towards the achievement of objectives are honesty that will be applied in conducting research, interacting with people in my field and working on the projects that are underway. Commitment and loyalty to the staff as well as the customers will help bear fruit and, therefore, aid in the achievement of set goals. Goal achievement is informed by the needs and wants of the staff and the customers. Goal achievement may be hindered by retiring from service, where there has been comforting in the assurance of a daily job, the hassle of looking for a new job as well as lacking enough time to work on my projects. Fear of the unknown may also be a hindrance to goal achievement.
Challenge preparation
In order to deal with the challenges that have been presented, it is important to conduct a lot of research on the projects that I aim at developing. It is also important to start sending out job applications early as well as networking with people in the industry as a way to secure a job. It is essential to understand that closing one chapter of life leads to another open one, with regard to leaving service. This will help with giving me closure.
Opportunity creation
Other than goal achievement, pursuance of the DBA degree will definitely be instrumental in changing lives globally. Most importantly, it will help with making contributions to the business administration field where people will make reference to the research done. Solutions to complex problems will be provided through the projects that I aim at undertaking following in-depth research being conducted on the same. This will lead to growth and development globally.

Nice work explaining why you are pursuing a doctorate. Always be thinking of how to expand your strengths to be able to overcome your weaknesses, mitigate your threats, and seize the opportunities. Any known weakness regarding APA skills, scholarly writing, accepting constructive critique? Recognizing these types of weaknesses early in the program will help you develop a plan to overcome them. You listed three key goals you plan to accomplish as a result of completion of your DBA degree but consider developing goals using the SMART acronym: Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, and Timely. Good points regarding how prepared you are to overcome challenges, but consider you are likely to need to develop a variety of strategies and a have a number of resources to achieve your goals. What is your plan to become a global change agent, devising solutions to complex business problems and affecting positive social change? The answers to these questions could use a bit more development.
