WEEK 3
the three (3) companies I chose to invest in is,
Previous Facebook -$76.26=131 shares
The reason I chose Facebook is not surprising because Facebook is a fast growing industry with digital advertising and not to mention Facebook has one of the strongest competitive advantages possible: the network effect. With each person who joins Facebook. Facebook market cap is nearly $500 billion -- it still shows robust growth. Consider that daily active users grew 17% last quarter to 1.32 billion and stock are looking raise per year.
Previous HomeDepot- $177.86=200 share
The reason I chose HomeDepot because there net sales increased to $25 billion, an 8.1% rise, and diluted earnings per share increased to $1.84, a 15% rise. Comparable-store sales, the gold standard by which to measure any brick-and-mortar retail operation, increased 7.9% across all Home Depot stores and 7.7% in domestic locations.
Previous General Electric $1075.39= 50 shares
The reason I chose General Electric is because everything is heading in the right direction. Over the last 3 full fiscal years, Google increased revenue by 63% (CAGR of 17.6%). Earnings have also been strong. Analyst expect Google to end the year at $32.21/share.
WEEK 8
Facebook – Current Stock Price $182.68= 131 Shares- 23,931.08
I would be extremely happy the stock jumped 53 percent last year Facebook is still one of the best stocks to buy, despite its massive run. Last quarter's $10.33 billion in total revenue was a 47% jump from the prior year and at $1.59, EPS was up 77% year over year. Facebook's growth is nothing short of spectacular, especially when you consider it's a more than $550 billion (by market ) behemoth.
FB was one of just seven stocks U.S. News highlighted as best buys in the market for 2017, and a year later, it's the only back-to-back member on the annual best stocks to buy list.
Home Depot – Current Stock Price $187.42=200 Shares- 37,484
I would be happy Home Depot because Despite 26.5% growth, 6% revenue growth and 6.5% comp-store sales growth, we’re paying just 18.2 times 2018 sales estimates. That’s a great price! Additionally, Home Depot stock trades at just 16.8 times forward estimates.
General Electric- 14.97= 200 Shares- 2,994
I would be a little happy with G&E as well just because General Electric reported adjusted first-quarter earnings per share of 16 cents on revenue of $28.6 billion. Both numbers beat expectations of 12 cents and $27.52 billion, respectively. Revenue was up 7 percent compared to a year ago.
